Thanks to ASERCA-SAGARPA in collaboration with ProMéxico, the support of Mexico Supreme Quality, Government of the State of Querétaro and the Academic Center for Development and Innovation of UAQ Products, the Querétaro Business Round was held on the 20th, 21st and September 22 at the Hacienda Jurica Hotel in the City of Querétaro.


This type of meeting allows to encourage the Mexican producers of the agri-food sector who are in search of new business opportunities in the international market, and thus, increase the number of exports.


The call attracted the participation of 140 producers from different states of the Republic, mainly from Querétaro, Guanajuato, Hidalgo, Michoacán and State of Mexico; offering products such as dehydrated fruit, coconut, avocado, sauces, cocoa, stevia, flour tortillas, pork, mole, broccoli, corn, tomato, among others.


It also had the presence of 37 buyers from Asia, Europe, the United States, Canada, Central America and CDMX, interested in increasing its portfolio of products in the sector.


Via Lattea S.A de C.V, Technology Hidrobajío S.A de C.V, More Gourmet Tea, SOMA Alimentos, Saber y Sabor, S.A. Dde C.V., were some companies from Queretaro that attended the event.


The Business Round achieved 1200 business meetings, generating sales estimated at USD 92,000,000.


At the same time, the seminar “Strengthening capacities for export” was given to exporting producers, in order to provide useful information for the sector. Three panels were included: Financing for Exporting Companies, Opportunities and Challenges for Agrifood Export and Successful Cases of Agricultural Export Companies; in which involved associations of producers, government and funding agencies, with the presence of approximately 100 people.


At the end of the activities a wine tasting and cheese and fruit pairing of the region was presented.
