Officials inaugurate Querétaro Business Round 2017

  • Sales are estimated for 100 MDD.
  • It gathers more than 40 buyers and 120 companies from different states of the Republic

 

As part of the strategy undertaken by the Government of the Republic to promote and diversify the exports of the Mexican agri-food sector, ASERCA-SAGARPA in collaboration with ProMéxico, the support of Mexico Supreme Quality, Government of the State of Querétaro and the Academic Center for Development and Product Innovation UAQ, held the inauguration of the “Querétaro Business Round 2017” at the Hacienda Jurica Hotel in the City of Querétaro.

During the speech of the general coordinator of Trade Promotion and Export Promotion of ASERCA, Manuel Pozo Cabrera, assured that buyers from Asia, Europe, the United States, Canada and Central America will undoubtedly find top quality Mexican products, the Mexican countryside is characterized by safety, diversity and productivity.

“The Government’s task in the international trade of agri-foods is to consolidate our products in different markets, as well as to seek destinations and generate added value so that, in turn, jobs will be generated for our people in the country,” said the official.

This event is designed to promote agri-food products, through business meetings with the participation of more than 40 buyers and 120 companies from different states of the Republic, mainly from Querétaro, Guanajuato, Hidalgo, Michoacán and Estado de México; which will be offering fresh, processed, meat products, gourmet cheeses and wines; with estimated sales of 100 MDD.

Special guests like the Dip. Isabel Aguilar Morales, President of the board of the LVIII legislature; Ing. Gustavo Nieto Chávez State Delegate SAGARPA Querétaro; Lic. César Jesús Fragozo López Head of the ProMéxico Sector Development Unit; Víctor Hugo Pineda Martinez State Delegate SAGARPA Guanajuato; among others, gathered at this inaugural event.

Additionally, it extended the invitation to all Mexican producers to participate in the second edition of the Mexico Alimentaria 2017 Food Show, the most important meeting of the agri-food sector, from December 7 to 9 at the Citibanamex and Infield center in Mexico City.
