A walk through the “Mexico Food Show 2016”

At the business tables, project agreements were concluded for 2017 at the national and international level.

 
During the three days of the largest agri-food sector event in Mexico and Latin America, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food (SAGARPA) stated that the “Mexico Alimentaria Food Show 2016” had a hearing of 56 thousand people, being Saturday the busiest day with 21 thousand 400 visitors.
 
This, thanks to the 722 exhibitors of the stands installed at the fair, could present their products, as well as the livestock exhibition of 748 animals. Also, 16 tasting activities were carried out, in which people tasted wines, coffees and mezcales, which were given by different councils and national chambers.
 
Likewise, in the gastronomic area called “Come to Eat”, visitors had the opportunity to coexist with great chefs recognized nationally and internationally who in their 13 activities could taste dishes cooked by personalities such as Paulina Abascal, Aquiles Chavez, Poncho Hernández and Susana Palazuelos, among others.
 
Not to mention the famous “Guacamole Challenge”, where the Secretaries of Agriculture, José Calzada participated; of Health, José Narro; of Tourism, Enrique de la Madrid; and the then Secretary of Foreign Relations, Claudia Ruiz Massieu, who was a winner, with her recipe based on serrano chili, garlic, cambray onion, lemon, salt and avocado, all with totally Mexican products.
